I'm Tyler Hinthorne a 3D Character Artist and Game Designer, and I specialize in 3D character and creature design. I currently Live in Alberta, Canada, and am experienced in transition of characters from high-poly to low-poly for seamless integration into gaming experiences. Alongside this, I am experienced in mission design and game design using Unreal Engine 4 and 5.
In my current role, I have the privilege of spearheading a compact yet highly proficient team, dedicated to crafting mission and level designs for an upcoming Indie MMORPG. This entails not only the management of my own responsibilities but also the facilitation of collaborative efforts within my team. I maintain a direct line of communication with the company's senior leadership, ensuring the alignment of our work with the broader vision. My daily tasks include team coordination, the creation of assets encompassing everything from meshes to textures and effects, blueprints and some network replication. I aslo have experience with migration and conversion of store assets, and the critical task of following and creating documentation and task lists.
Within my portfolio, you'll find my work is mainly stylized creatures and characters.. My deepest passion lies in the realm of creature and animal modelling. I hold a profound appreciation for games that embrace the challenge of diverse and imaginative creature designs. For my creative journey, I possess a comprehensive suite of software tools, ranging from ZBrush and Maya to Substance Painter, 3D Coat, and more. Assisting others in their creative endeavours is a source of personal fulfillment, and I remain steadfast in my commitment to ongoing self-improvement.
